A Montessori Journey Back Home
I’m originally from Slovakia, but I spent 11 years living in Germany. I studied English and German firstly at Slovak university and completed my master’s degree in Germany, and along the way I discovered Montessori education.
I had the wonderful opportunity to work at a Montessori school there and I quickly realised that I really liked the Montessori way of looking at children because it lets children be children.
After 11 years in Germany I decided it was time to come home. And now here I am — back where I started, but with a German accent hiding somewhere in my Slovak, two foreign languages in my head and quite a lot of experience packed into one suitcase.
I successfully completed German Montessori Diploma course and Montessori Certification course for teachers of foreign languages. I was lucky enough to work with wonderful people from all kinds of places and cultures, who taught me a lot and made those years even more special.
It was a great ride and I’m excited to see where the next one takes me! Now I am happy to be part of the Montessori community here. I am excited about all the adventures, questions, discoveries and probably a little bit of chaos that await us.
