In the Second Cycle, children are ready to take greater responsibility for their own learning and for the community around them.
The classroom remains an important place for lessons, research and discovery, but learning increasingly reaches beyond its walls. Children plan projects, work collaboratively, manage real responsibilities, solve problems and take their ideas into the wider world.
They are not simply learning about independence. They are practising it.
